Maplume — Travel Films Privacy Policy

01 A Private Travel Workspace

Maplume keeps trip records and film projects on your device. It does not require an account, cloud sync, remote API, advertising, or analytics service.

02 Trip Memories

You may create trip titles, notes, place names, and selected photo or video memories. Media is selected through the iOS photo picker and the app uses only items you choose.

03 Route Recording

When you start recording a trip, the app may use device location to draw a route and attach a location to a memory. Background location is used only during an active recording and stops when you end it.

04 Film Creation and Photos

Route points, selected media references, thumbnails, and rendered films are stored locally. Photos permission is requested only when you choose to save an exported film to your library.

05 Retention and Sharing

You control retention by deleting trips and memories. You decide whether to save or share an exported film; recipients handle any shared content under their own practices.

06 Your Choices

You can stop route recording and change location or Photos permission in iOS Settings.

07 Security and Contact

Device security controls help protect local material, but no storage method is completely secure.

08 Location Detail

Route points can reveal places you visited and when you were there. Review a trip before saving or sharing a film that includes location-based material.

09 Selected Media

The iOS picker lets you choose specific media. Maplume does not request broad library access merely to browse the items you select.

10 Rendered Files

A rendered film may remain in local app storage and, if you choose Save to Photos, in your photo library until you remove it there.

11 Trip Deletion

Deleting a trip removes its local record from the app. It does not remove separately saved films, device backups, or copies already shared elsewhere.

12 Map Display

Maps and device platform services may handle information under Apple’s applicable terms.
